Katie Green is a native of Southern Delaware and boasts over 100 years of family history in both Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. Her grandfather, the late John W. Beach, was a local writer who composed numerous books on the history of the Delaware beaches. After graduating from Cape Henlopen High School, she studied equine business management at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. We recently conducted an interview with Katie to learn all about her favorite things to do in Coastal Delaware. Keep reading to hear her responses!

In your view, what are the best outdoor activities to enjoy in Coastal Delaware?

The Junction & Breakwater Trail which stretches from Lewes to Rehoboth Beach is great for walking and biking. You can really enjoy the coastal scenery!

Where is your favorite local spot to visit on a hot summer day?

Jungle Jim's! There is nothing better than floating around the lazy river on a hot summer day.

On a cold winter day?

Winter Wonderfest, which is set up in Hudson Fields, is a great family activity to do around the holidays.

What makes Coastal Delaware different from the other beach areas along the Mid-Atlantic?

Given your experience in the field, what are the top factors that attract buyers to our area?

Our low property taxes are very attractive to out-of-state buyers, as is our close proximity to the Philadelphia and Baltimore airports.
