Leslie was born and raised in Lewes. After graduating from Cape Henlopen High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Delaware. Her family legacy in Southern Delaware runs deep. Her father was a river pilot on Delaware Bay and River, and her great-uncle owned Lewes Boatyard (now Lewes Canalfront Park), where he built and repaired boats. We recently conducted an interview with Leslie to learn all about her favorite things to do in Coastal Delaware. Keep reading to hear her responses!

In your view, what are the best outdoor activities to enjoy in Coastal Delaware?

The beach, of course! Actually, there is so much to do here, it's hard to choose. Biking on the Junction & Breakwater Trail, strolling on the boardwalk, boating, and golfing are just a few!

Where is your favorite local spot to visit on a hot summer day?

The beach or anywhere on the water!

On a cold winter day?

Staying in front of my fireplace, cuddled up with my dog!

What makes Coastal Delaware different from the other beach areas along the Mid-Atlantic?

The people! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and helpful. We have a great laid-back attitude here that really is contagious.

Given your experience in the field, what are the top factors that attract buyers to our area?

With its close proximity to air travel, its mild climate, and its water access and natural surroundings, our beautiful coastal area is hard to beat! The low taxes are certainly also a bonus.
